Today I met a bunch of strangers on Facebook and now we are going to knit this really complicated cardigan with each others help!

….and now we’re all going to knit this coat pictured below. It is called ‘Sylvie’ and it was designed by Mari Muinonen.
We are individually scared to attempt on our own, but now we are going to give it a go together, using web cams, skype, facebook, pictures and e-mail, and possibly a meet up when we are finished I imagine….. Magic! Provisionally we have just set Easter Sunday as start date. Over 1000 metres of wool… wowsers 🙂 It’s funny, i bought this pattern a couple of months ago, after absolutely falling in love with it – but when I opened it the cable chart scared the beejaysus out of me. Feeling a lot more confident about it already. One of the ladies I met has good experience in cables, and we have also been offered the assistance of a lovely woman from Stitch.ie named Teresa!

The pattern details and a link to the purchase page are below:

  1. Isn’t it just! Really looking forward to making a start on this. Have another Tunic jumper which I must finish before I dive into this though! Can’t be having unfinished knitting projects! Would you like to join us making it?
