A snap of some of the 2,600 porcelain roses that ceramic artist Laura O Hagan set out to make for an exhibition in Farmleigh House, Phoenix Park in August of this year. I was priviliged to lend a hand, contributing approximately 50 to the total which are now on display in Farmleigh House. A thouroughly enjoyable experience, in fantastic company. The roses were made in response to a trip to China taken by a group of Ceramicists. After a hotfest in the kiln, these roses are now sitting on copper wire stems springing forth from beautiful hues of brick. The exhibition ends on the 15th October, if my memory serves me right.
